Wednesday Oct 05, 2022
Wednesday Oct 05, 2022
This week Mark and Jess sit down with Cheryl Fletch with a fun discussion filled with big seminary words, how 40 hours of works gets chiseled down to a 30 minute teaching, and as promised in her message - a deep dive in Colossians 1:24.

This week we’re talking about the suffering we choose. Why would someone choose suffering? Parents do so every day for their children. As do business owners who care deeply for their employees and customers. And Paul chose suffering for the sake of the church. We’ll explore what it means if we desire to live a life of love for others. And we'll ask how Jesus showed us the way to do this. Join us to explore these questions as we study Colossians and discover what an other-centered life looks like and how we can be empowered to live this way.

Colossians: Following the ”Real” Jesus | Scott Palmbush
Sunday Sep 25, 2022
Sunday Sep 25, 2022
This week, through the words of the apostle Paul to the Colossians, we explore who Jesus was. Our tendency is to reduce Jesus to an idol. But that Jesus will never deliver us from sin and death or transform us. This message will encourage us to abandon our false images and embrace the real Jesus. Look at the Scriptures that describe Jesus and identify ways that you treat Jesus as your servant rather than your Lord. How can you more deeply submit to the “real” Jesus wherever he leads.

Menlo Midweek: The Big Game | Mark Swarner
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
This week, we get some more time with our Menlo Park campus pastor Mark Swarner as he closed out our Get in the Game series.
Jesus looks at us with all our faults and failures, just as we are, and says, “I want YOU on my team.” This is in contrast to things like sports championships when only a select few ever get to play in one. Unlike major sports teams, God doesn’t just look for the best and the brightest, the most capable, or the strongest. God invites us—regular human people—to participate in God’s work of bringing hope and healing to the world. Join us as we explore what it means that every one of us has a part in this mission and that Jesus chooses us to be a part of it.
Consider that even our smallest acts of service are part of a much bigger picture that we often cannot see. What’s one way you can be an ambassador for Christ this week?
