What do you do when you can’t meet the demands or standards that others set for you? How do you admit weakness or ask for help. This week we see Jesus as he extends grace, care, and love to those asking for his help as he endures the cross. Senior Pastor Phil EuBank discusses these last words of Jesus, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise," in week 3 of our Last Words series.

Grace is the foundational resource of forgiveness. Without undeserved favor, we stand no chance of experiencing forgiveness from anyone, including God. This forgiveness is available today, and it seems more relevant than ever before. In the second message of our Last Words series, Senior Pastor Phil EuBank discusses the last words of Jesus, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Lent is a tradition of many Christian churches around the world. It is an opportunity to fast from something in order to cultivate spiritual hunger in its place. Our Last Words sermon series will parallel our Lent Devotional and help our community experience a season in which God awakens us to the meaning of Christ’s death and resurrection and its implications for our lives. In this message, we consider some of the first words of Jesus before we look at his last words on the cross each week leading up to Easter. We will see how Jesus faced temptation and entered into his own season of spiritual preparation that is the foundation for Lent.
This Lenten season we are focusing on Jesus’s last words on the cross as a way to know him and follow in his way of love. To help us journey through lent together we have created a special Lent Devotional. Dive into these resources individually and as a Life Group to discover the beauty of Jesus and the opportunity Lent provides for us to go deeper on our journey of discovery, questioning and faith. You can pick up your free copy at any of our campuses or go to http://menlo.church/lent for a digital version.

Menlo Midweek: Renewal Without Revival | Phil EuBank
Wednesday Feb 15, 2023
Wednesday Feb 15, 2023
This week Mark and Jess sit down with Senior Pastor Phil EuBank to discuss revival, "churchy" language, bbq and a preview for whats to come for our Lent Series!

Renewal without revival can lead to a counterfeit faith. We long to be a church that is always growing closer to God through meaningful spiritual practices and authentic, honest expressions of faith. A self-driven theology rarely leads to an others-oriented missiology. Join us Sunday as we dive into why our personal renewal is always the beginning of love, compassion, and care for those close to us regardless of where they are in relationship to God.
