Seasons: Fall | Phil EuBank
Sunday May 28, 2023
Sunday May 28, 2023
Fall can often catch us off guard, leaving us wondering where the time went. It’s not always easy to point out what changed in our inner world, but things feel cooler. During this season, our connection with God and others may start to feel distant, and though we may try to put on a facade, reality eventually sets in. Navigating through fall and finding growth within it requires us to explore what happened and what God can do inside of us because of it.
Our spiritual formation practice for this series is Praying the Psalms. Formation practices are our training ground for Christlikeness. The formation practice for the series, Seasons: Permission to Feel, is Praying the Psalms. Each week, beginning May 14, go to http://menlo.church/seasons for the sermon video, a Life Group discussion guide, and a formation practice resource.

After the challenging years we've had, it might seem like positivity is often just a disguise for insincerity and negativity. But even when things are going well, we can still find joy in every little thing. Today, we'll explore a Psalm that helps us see life from that perspective. It reminds us to cherish the joyful moments and find the rest we need for the times ahead.

Baptism Sunday: Promise of a New Beginning | Phil EuBank
Sunday May 07, 2023
Sunday May 07, 2023
When an individual decides to follow Jesus, their life experiences a tangible transformation over time, and this shift is marked by a distinctive trait that has endured throughout the history of the church. Traditionally, entire families would be baptized to signify God's redeeming work in their salvation, and newly converted individuals would follow suit by getting baptized. In contemporary times, baptism serves as a reminder of our rebirth in Him, not as a sign of spiritual maturity but rather as an assurance of our eternal security. It is an outward expression of an internal reality.
Next week, we launch a brand-new series called Seasons where we will unpack the reality that God is with us through EVERY season - times of great joy AND deep sorrow. If you wrestle with anxiety, depression, or are in need of peace and joy, this series will help you experience God in whatever season you’re in. Go to http://menlo.church/seasons where we have additional study guides and spiritual formation practice resources to help you do life with Jesus throughout the week, not just on Sundays.

The gospel is the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, and as Christians, we are called to share this message with others. In this sermon, we will explore why we should and how we can share the hope of the gospel in the Bay Area. Looking at the life and words of Jesus, we will discuss how to build relationships with people who don't know Jesus, how to share our own stories of faith, and how to invite people into our lives and point them to the hope of Jesus.
