Hearing God: Listening Through Scripture | Scott Palmbush

God reveals himself uniquely throughout the pages of the Bible. The history, stories, poems, letters, and prophecies we find in it provide a picture of who God is, what his character is like, and what he wants for us. The Bible also gives us an understanding of who we are as humans and of what really matters in our lives. If we read it prayerfully, expectantly, and regularly we can find comfort, hope, direction, and transformation in its pages. Through meditation and intentional listening, the words on the page can become food for our souls.

This week, create a plan to read Scripture on a regular basis. Practice Lectio Divina. Read the text meditatively to enable you to encounter God’s words and experience his presence.
